This family grew up in Belmar but now calls Pittsburgh home, so while they were back at the Jersey Shore visiting family, they decided it was the perfect time to update their family photos. I'm always honored when families choose to spend part of their vacation with me—it means a lot, especially when there are so many ways they could be spending their time.
For this session, I suggested Sea Girt. It's one of my favorite beaches for family photography because the sand dunes and sea grass create beautiful, natural backgrounds, the light is consistently gorgeous around sunset, and it's usually a little quieter than some of the neighboring beaches. As a random side note, Sea Girt also has my favorite lifeguard stands on the Jersey Shore—they photograph so well and add a little extra character to beach sessions.
It was wonderful spending the evening with this sweet family, catching up, and helping them create new memories in a place that will always feel like home.
