Jacqueline & Josie

In the past week, I got the amazing opportunity (twice) to photograph my friend’s nieces. Jacqueline and Josie were on vacation and we decided to do a couple of shoots while they were here. I am excited about both shoots, but I wanted to post this one first, as it has a different feel from what I normally do. I enjoyed both shoots immensely, so I think I am going to start offering “senior sessions” for high school and college students. I’m still editing the 83 amazing “best looks” of the first session, so be sure to check back in a few weeks and take a look!

For the first shoot, I did more commercial / editorial. When I photographed this one, I wanted to do something a little bit different. Looking at the images now, I feel it’s a lot different, but still me, if that makes sense. I was inspired by the paintings of John Register and photographs of William Eggleston and wanted to approach this more from a minimalist standpoint. I found myself  focusing more on the colors, angles and shapes.

Big thanks to Alice for wardrobe styling and showing me cool spots to shoot!
